What to expect at NMC

Attending a new church for the first time can  be an overwhelming experience, especially if you don’t know what to expect. We desire to make your time at NMC a positive and fulfilling experience. If you choose to be our guest on a Sunday morning, here are a few things you might enjoy knowing before you arrive.

fully committed

It is time to be finished with half-heartedness, going through the motions, and attempting to play the part. God’s plan for us is about following Him wholeheartedly. God’s plan is not a silly hybrid that blends some of Him and some of society with a mix of our own ideas. God’s plan is for a people that will passionately and obediently follow Him—fully committed.

setting the stage

With life moving at a hectic pace, the need for deep, personal connections is great. NMC is intentional about connecting the body of believers to help encourage and nurture spiritual growth. Opportunities are available for the entire family to connect on a weekly basis, on Sundays mornings, and Wednesday nights.

in this together

Volunteers are critical in the life of the church. From serving in a regular role with KidMin or Student Ministries to taking a Global Impact trip to the other side of the world, there is a volunteer opportunity for you. Our greatest days are just ahead, as we work together to mature in our faith and serve our world for Christ!

As a church that values generational diversity, we have a variety of worship and fellowship options for every age and stage of life. In addition to KidMin and Student Ministries gatherings, we offer two distinct worship settings for adults on Sunday mornings. Large celebration in worship is great, but caring community and fellowship is found in our Small Churches.

Frequently Asked Questions

We would love to see you at one of our services. We recommend all visitors use Entrance D on the north side of the building. From here, you can easily access our Worship Center and Connection services, check kids in, and get questions answered at the Ministry Center.

In the Worship Center you will find a more traditional worship service with a live speaker. Worship Center services are Sunday mornings at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00.

In the Connection service you will experience a more contemporary worship style along with a video of the message from the Worship Center. Connection services take place in the Gym at 9:30 and 11:00 on Sunday mornings.

We recommend arriving about 10 minutes early to get a cup of coffee and find a seat. A free cup of coffee is available to all first-time guests at the coffee counter in the Grand Hall. If you have children to check in to our Kids Ministry, we suggest coming 20 minutes before the service.

There are marked visitor parking spots on the north side of the parking lot just outside entrance D. If you enter the parking lot from State Road 19, entrance D is to your right and you will see parking spaces marked for visitors. Entrance D will lead you straight to our Ministry Center, coffee counter, and KidMin Check-In.

If you decide to visit us, we recommend coming 20 minutes early to register your children (infant through 5th grade) at the KidMin Check-In which is just inside entrance D. The safety of our children is a high priority, so we will need child and guardian information at check-in. Our KidMin volunteers will show you and your children to their classrooms, where they will learn about God in fun and exciting ways. Parents, we encourage you to check out our facilities and see all we have to offer your children.

There is programming for middle school and high school students at 9:30 AM. Volunteers at the Ministry Center, just inside entrance D, can show your students to the appropriate rooms.

Our services run for 60-70 minutes and are always filled with great worship and a biblical message.

We hope you will feel comfortable and accepted however you're dressed. What you will generally see in the Worship Center are people wearing anything from jeans and a nice shirt to dresses and suit jackets while the Connection service is a bit more casual dress environment.

Within a Small Church, you will find a small community (ranging from 10 to 100+ individuals) that wants to get to know you. These groups share prayer requests, life moments, biblical teaching, and occasionally food all in a smaller, relational environment. Feel free to stop by the Welcome Center, just inside entrance D, for Small Church information, times, and recommendations. You can also view our list of current Small Churches (here). Joining a Small Church is simple - all you need to do is show up!
